US Resident Shot Dead by Jamaican Police at Sangster Airport, as Surge in Extrajudicial Killings Continues

A U.S. resident was fatally shot by Jamaican police this morning after allegedly breaching security at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. This incident marks another fatal police encounter amid a disturbing surge of 80 state killings this year. As video evidence directly contradicts official ‘self-defense’ narratives in other high-profile cases, such as the Granville protest shooting and the killing of Jamar Farquharson, and without a single mandatory body camera in use, public fury over police impunity and the silence of the Prime Minister has reached a breaking point.

Jamaican Fugitive Wanted for St. Lucia Murder Sentenced to US Federal Prison

International fugitive Orville Andrew Pernell, who previously escaped law enforcement custody in both St. Lucia and Jamaica, has been sentenced to a U.S. federal prison after being arrested with a firearm while unlawfully present in the United States

Reports indicate McLeish was driving the Probox when he lost control, hit a median, and overturned. As the four occupants tried to exit the wreck, the Mercedes struck them, inflicting fatal injuries. All were pronounced dead at Spanish Town Hospital. The Mercedes driver faces prosecution.

Dr. Lucien Jones of the National Road Safety Council called the incident “absolutely shocking,” urging stricter measures against reckless driving. “We must end this madness of speeding and distraction on our roads,” he stressed.
