Reigning national 400M champion is retired Jamaica Olympic medalist, Veronica Campbell Brown’s brother, Shaun Bailey is among the overseas-based athletes who have arrived at the national championships and says he’s focused on making the national team for an individual event. Although winning the 400 M at the national championships last year, barely did not want the individual event and the Tokyo Olympics as he did not have the qualifying mark in assessing his writing necessary for this year’s national trials.

Bailey’s yet to achieve the automatic qualifying mark of 44.90 seconds for the world championships, But the brother of Veronica Campbell Brown says he’s confident he can overcome the tough challenge at this weekend’s trials. 

Course I do. I feel like I’m in better shape than I’ve ever been. So I’m just looking to execute state injury-free and do the right things. 

The men’s 400 M final is set for Sunday afternoon at 5 20.
