American sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson defeated Jamaica’s double Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson-Herah in the women’s 100m at the Spitzen Leichtathletik meeting in Lucerne, Switzerland today. Richardson won the event in 11.29s. Thompson-Herah placed second in 11.30s. The USA’s Celera Barnes was third in 11.40 seconds. A meet with less than optimal conditions due to rain and negative wind produced an extremely slow winning time
