Jamaican sweep women’s 100m podium at world championships

Jamaica Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce wins women’s 100m at the 2022 World Athletics championships in a blistering 10.67 seconds to lead a Jamaican sweep with compatriots Sharicka Jackson second in a time of 10.73 seconds and Olympic Champion Elaine Thompson Herah in a time of 10.81 seconds.

There are no other nations that had completed a medal sweep in the women’s 100m at the World Athletic Championship but Jamaica have done it last year at the Tokyo Olympics by the same three athletes – and also in 2008 with Shelly-Ann, Sherone Simpson, and Karen Stewart.
