Popular Portland entrepreneur Samuel Dixon, widely known as ‘Frauty’, was brutally murdered in a hail of gunfire Monday evening as he arrived at his Tower Isle, St Mary, home. Police report that Dixon was ambushed by gunmen who fired approximately 80 shots, suggesting a calculated hit.
According to reports, Dixon had just driven into his yard around 7 p.m. when armed assailants opened fire before he could exit his vehicle. Despite attempting to flee, he was shot multiple times and later pronounced dead at the hospital. Investigators confirmed that nothing was stolen, and his licensed firearm was still on his person.
Dixon was a well-known businessman with multiple enterprises, including two Ocho Rios service stations, a used car dealership, an auto parts store, two Port Antonio gas stations, and a Buff Bay supermarket. He began his career in Portland as a taxi operator before expanding his ventures.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is actively investigating the killing, with sources indicating the attack bore all the hallmarks of a targeted hit due to its execution. No arrests have been made, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
