World fastest sprinter Usain Bolt has been nominated for the BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year award.
Bolt, who recently won the Male Athlete-of-the-Year by athletics governing body International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), will be up against American swimmer Michael Phelps and 800m world record-holder David Rudisha of Kenya.

The nod for the media house’s year-end award is not new to the repeat triple Olympic champion who has won the BBC award on two previous occasions.

Other winners have included tennis greats Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, as well as sprinting giants Maurice Greene and Michael Johnson.

The winner will be announced on December 16th.
